Our Labradors are bred and raised to give you the best possible Labrador puppy that your money can buy.  We pay special attention to pedigrees, genetic health issues, temperaments, and classic looks.  So if you're looking for a stalwart hunt/field test dog, a hard-working hunting companion, an eager obedience or agility performer, a dedicated service dog, or simply an affectionate family dog, a DuckDawg puppy will be just right for you!

Because we pay such close attention to pedigrees, temperament, and health, our puppies are bred to provide you with a puppy free from genetic defects, pleasing in appearance (provided they stay out of the flower beds...), intelligent, and eager to please.  We have the utmost faith in our breeding program and offer a thirty-month guarantee against any genetic health defects.

All of our breeding dogs are OFA-certified and a Veterinary Ophthalmologist certifies that the eyes are free from hereditary defects.  All of our "mothers" are dogs that we are currently training, testing, and living with.  The "girls" all live in the house with us, help fetch the newspaper every morning, and help terrorize chickens (er, gather eggs) every evening.  We know each puppy's unique personality, strengths, and charms.  We always breed to stud dogs with strong accomplishments and with strong pedigrees that compliment the pedigrees of each of our girls.  We feel this attention to detail allows us to produce and raise puppies with great personalities, attitude, and talent. And if that weren't enough, our puppies also have the distinction of having some of the greatest ancestors in the history of field competition Labradors!

Puppies are born and raised in our home, and we see to it that they are well-socialized from day one.  Dewclaws are removed on Day 3 by Ron Green DVM; he uses a local anesthetic and will guarantee that you will not get a partially-removed dewclaw (unlike some other breeders who try to remove the dewclaws at home with a pair of scissors - OUCH)!

Puppies are started on a regular vaccination schedule and are checked for the presence of worms; we medicate only when necessary.  Puppies are introduced to sleeping in their crates, the collar and leash, pigeons and duck wings, and water (weather permitting).  Our puppies receive around-the-clock medical attention from Ron and tireless "mother hen" fussing from Libby.

We can ship your puppy to you anywhere, as we usually ship out of the Denver or Omaha Airports, depending upon the weather.  If you decide you want a puppy, we recommend placing a deposit as soon as you decide upon a litter, as our puppies are usually sold before they are old enough to leave.

We take deposits for color and sex and often don't know how many of each will be born until the big day.  We will refund 100% of your deposit up until the litter is born, so you can make your deposit with confidence even before the puppies are born.  Once the litter is born, we will refund 100% of your deposit only if your color and/or sex choice is not available.  We also keep a detailed waiting list if you are interested in a puppy from an upcoming breeding.

Most of our puppies are dual-registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the United Kennel Club (UKC).
